Micheal Carrick
The biggest waste of transfer money in football. When is this guy not injured? Worse than Atherton,

Can pass a ball, can't deal with a tackle

Re: Micheal Carrick

Every club side he's been in has been substantially better for his part in it.

His medal tally is not a coincidence.

Re: Micheal Carrick
He's an amazingly talented player, or at least that's what the media tell us. Great at playing the simple balls, taking no risks, and holding back in midfield. Truth be told, playing the way he does there's not a lot he can do wrong.

Re: Micheal Carrick
It's pure coincidence that Man United were shit when he was out, and then got better when he was back in the side.

Mike Atherton? Outstanding player Is Carrick. Had a stinker last night by all accounts.

Re: Micheal Carrick
Looks like he's averaged over 40 games a season for his entire career.

And his injury record is just over one a season (based on the stats earlier in the thread) which I'd imagine is about par for a prem player, doubt there are too many ever-presents.

His injury record has been pretty poor in the last couple of seasons granted, I think that's down to age and being at the end of his career more than anything though.

People can dresss it up how they like ,but the OP is right, the fellla is forever picking up injuries, the same as Sakho and Winston Reid.

Re: Micheal Carrick
Pedro, you mean the player we recruited from the defunct Newcastle academy? A player that we didn't really have that much involvement with?

Biggest waste of transfer money yet playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. The only england int. Who would comfortably fit i to the spanish side imo.

Re: Micheal Carrick
I agree Micheal is injury prone. Michael on the other hand is one of our greatest ever academy graduates.

The sign of a good player is not knowing if they are left or right footed. Carrick is just as strong on either side. Would have played much more for England if managers didn't prefer Milner.

Re: Micheal Carrick
You've had a bit of a stinker here OP,.

Always rated Carrick as top-class, ridiculous how under-used he was for England - I think welbeck has more caps than him.

Re: Micheal Carrick
Oh and you're thinking of Anderton. Unless you mean the pony right back for Sheff Wed Atherton?

Funnily enough Anderton was due to go on the pitch at Tottenham the other week at half time during the Europa cup for a penalty shoot out...but had to cancel due to injury! Ha ha

Re: Micheal Carrick
But for how long for each injury?

i-Ron 11:27 Sat Nov 14
Re: Micheal Carrick
Sakho has been injured 8 times in from Aug 14 - Oct 15

Carrick's been injured 10 times from 2008 - 2015
